2024 MAYOR’S FIREWORKS CELEBRATION SET FOR SATURDAY, JULY 6

WATERLOO, IA – This year’s Red, White and Loo Mayor's Fireworks celebration will be bigger and better than ever, with two stages between the RiverLoop Expo Plaza and the Amphitheatre full of thrilling performances and even more activities for young and old alike!

 

Waterloo’s annual fireworks event will take place on Saturday, July 6, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. along the Cedar River downtown with entertainment on two separate stages. Local favorite artists along with well-known band Dirty Muggs will bring the best of pop and R&B to the Expo Plaza. 

 

The fireworks display will light up the skies over the Cedar River beginning at 10:00 p.m. A variety of food vendors will be at both locations. The Family Fun Zone will be set up in the North Plaza between Jefferson and Commercial streets. It will be filled with interactive displays, games, and activities. Local dance troupes and a drum corps will be adding to the entertainment at both stages.

The public is reminded to plan ahead for road closures downtown.

The Mayor’s Fireworks event is a collaboration with the City of Waterloo, Main Street Waterloo, and the Waterloo Center for the Arts. The fireworks display is sponsored by John Deere, with additional sponsors including; KWWL-TV, Coloff Media, TownSquare Media, AECOM, Hawkeye Community College, Aspro, Cedar Valley Medical, PDCM and MidAmerican Energy Foundation.
