(Waterloo, Iowa) – Waterloo’s Inaugural Food Truck Festival rides into Downtown on September 4th for a day of tasty treats, comforting classics, and unique gourmet cuisines. Whether you’re craving BBQ, Mexican, Vegan, or a sweet treat, chances are one of the 15 food trucks appearing at this year’s event will have something to treat your taste buds. This family-friendly event will feature music, a hot dog eating contest, bags tournament, and more! Snack the afternoon away with your family and friends.
This much anticipated foodie event will be serving up delicious fun for all ages. Event Chair, Amy Miller shares, “The community has been asking for an event like this and we are excited to be able to provide a unique and stellar experience for those foodies out there.”
The Inaugural Food Truck Festival will take place Saturday, September 4th from 11am until 8pm at RiverLoop Expo Plaza. You don't want you to miss this fantastically delicious new event.
“Our goal is to facilitate food tourism, celebrate eating local, and create even more vibrancy for our amazing downtown. We are excited to bring the ultimate food truck experience to Downtown Waterloo," says Main Street Waterloo Director, Jessica Rucker.
Tickets for the Food Truck Festival are on sale now: General Admission $5 or VIP $50. The VIP access includes free samples from each of the vendors, Fast Food lines, plus access to a VIP tent. Kids 10 and under are free. All food trucks accept cash, and most accept credit cards. Most importantly, all food trucks will be serving $2 samples of one menu item for you to try and vote for your favorite.
