Hello! I’m Emily, the new Cedar Falls – Waterloo editor and publisher for Macaroni Kid. My husband and I have been married for two years, and we had the joy of welcoming our daughter into our family a few months ago. I feel blessed to be a part of the amazing world-wide community of moms and dads who have discovered how much it is possible to love their little one. Likewise, I feel privileged to join all of you in this journey of enriching our children’s lives and experiencing the amazing opportunities this community has to offer!
I have lived in the Waterloo – Cedar Falls community since 1992, and my parents are thrilled to have their granddaughter (and us *smile) nearby. I was an elementary teacher for the past six years and loved it! It was definitely an adventure and a rewarding experience. One of my passions is providing kids with opportunities to grow and discover their interests and talents. Macaroni Kid is a new avenue for me to pursue this aspiration.
